The coin features two exquisitely crafted images based upon the current generation of the Arms, which was authorized by King George V more than a century ago, in 1912. The Arm's animal elements, a kangaroo and an emu, both make an appearance on the coin as symbols of progress, as neither creature has the ability to move backwards. This 2021 Australian Coat of Arms bullion coin is struck from 1 Troy oz. of .999 fine silver. The coin measures 40.0 mm in diameter. The dollar denomination coin features a stunning Brilliant Uncirculated finish. Only 50,000 coins will be minted. Obverse: The portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, created in 2015 by renowned Royal Mint sculptor Jody Clark, is positioned in a circle on the obverse, balanced within the branches of a widespread growth of golden wattle, the Commonwealth's floral symbol. Beside the effigy, an emu stands alert, above its leafy nest of unhatched eggs. A scroll is draped above the nest bearing the inscription "1 OUNCE .999 AG," while the Commonwealth Star hovers above. The star's seven points represent the six states and the territories of Australia. The design elements dedicated to the Australian Coat of Arms are credited to Aaron Baggio, a Royal Australian Mint coin designer and sculptor since 2008. Reverse: The reverse design, also a creation of Mr. Baggio, features an adult kangaroo with a joey in its pouch, standing amongst a breathtaking arrangement of flora. Each bloom is associated with one of Australia's states or territories, as its official floral emblem. A spectacular, highly recognizable spray of Red and Green Kangaroo Paw arcs above a shield inscribed with the coin's denomination of "ONE DOLLAR." The Commonwealth Star also appears in the image, with "AUSTRALIA" inscribed on a banner between the kangaroo's powerful hind legs. This Royal Australian Mint 2021 1 oz.
